Do we have our rookie of the year? Is he making case that we really dont need college? Is a stint in Europe more useful than American University’s? We may not know the answers to these questions but we do know one thing, this kids got skills. From the beginning of the season he has been turning heads with his quickness and Game IQ. But tonight, he turned heads 720. Jennings who started out scoreless in the first quarter, erupted for 55 points in the game to lead the Milwaukee Bucks over the Golden State Warriors 129 – 125 . Shooting 21-34 which equals to an outstanding 62%. That’s not all thats amazing, he shot 7 of 8 (88%) form beyond the arc, 6 of 8 (75%) form the free throw line with 5 assists and rebounds. With the way he is playing, no doubt will he be rookie of the year, i doubt Blake Griffin has anything to say about it.
Jennings became only the third player in team history to score 50 or more points. The last person to do this was Michael Redd. Jennings was 2 points away from the team record (57) also set my Redd in 2006 against Utah. He had the fifth most by an NBA rookie behind Wilt Chamberlin (2x) with 58, Rick Barry with 57, Earl Monroe with 56. ” Am just out there playing, this is something i love to do…” Says Jennings after the game. Yah, tell that to the judge, we all know he wanted this real bad.
At the beginning, everyone was on his ass for going to Europe, but now it looks like people are changing their tones when the name Jennings leaves their mouths. People have already started complimenting him. Charles Barkley has already called him the left handed Chris Paul and Rick Karmla agreed. I am trying to tube his horns, but he is doing such a good job at it. I think everyone should watch out for this guy, he is a force to be reckoned with.
